Refundable deposits and later full balance payments.

At the time of writing, we, like almost everybody else across Europe and many other parts of the world are experiencing lockdown in an effort to combat the spread of the COVID-19 corona virus. These are very uncertain and trying times for us all and we hope that you are all managing to stay safe and healthy, although we know that for so many, this is sadly not the case.

We have to remain positive and hope that in the not too distant future, we will be able to resume a more normal way of life, and go back to doing the things that we love and enjoy.  We desperately hope that we will be able to return to the slopes in December and at Summit Special we have to look ahead and plan for the future as best we can. We fully understand that winter holidays may not be high on the list of priorities at the moment and with all the uncertainty that surrounds future travel, there may be a reluctance to take the financial risk of booking a holiday. In an effort to help reduce that risk, we have looked at how we might offer the opportunity to plan for a winter holiday that we will no doubt crave once the travel restrictions are lifted.

We have therefore decided that for all bookings made before the 30th September 2020, we will reduce the deposit required to 10% of the total booking price, which will be fully refundable up to 4 weeks before travel. The full balance payment will be payable 4 weeks prior to arrival. We hope that this will strike a balance between ensuring that our guests feel protected from the financial risk of this type of disruption happening again, whilst enabling us to invest and plan for another season at Chalet Gentiane and offer some security to our hosting team and local suppliers.

So if you are dreaming of heading back to the mountains, give us a call or drop us a line at summitspecial@chaletgentiane.com, we would love to hear from you.

Stay safe everyone and a massive thank you to everyone who is working so hard at the moment to protect us and provide all the essential services we need to get through this.
